Synopsis

A British soldier is accidentally abandoned by his unit following a terrifying riot on the streets of Belfast in 1971. Unable to tell friend from foe, the raw recruit must survive the night alone and find his way to safety through a disorienting, alien and deadly landscape.


About the film

'71 stars Jack O'Connell (Starred Up, Skins) alongside Paul Anderson, Richard Dormer, Sean Harris, Martin McCann, Charlie Murphy, Sam Reid, Killian Scott, David Wilmot, Jack Lowden and Jim Sturgeon.

Written by Gregory Burke (Black Watch), ‘71 is Demange’s feature debut after directing TV series including the award-winning Top Boy for Channel 4. Robin Gutch of Warp Films and Angus Lamont of Crab Apple are producers.
