Chris Morris has been the UK’s foremost political satirist since the early 90s, working both sides of the camera as actor, producer, writer, musician and director. The hugely successful and much quoted media satires The Day Today and Brass Eye captivated audiences and critics alike often causing hysterical overreaction from those whose hysteria they mocked. Chris’s radio series On The Hour made a similarly devastating assault on radio news, his radio one series caused shockwaves and mirth with its ambush interviews and white-knuckle stunts, and his ambient comedy Blue Jam mesmerized drivers and insomniacs with hypnotic slow motion joke-mares. He directed the TV version, Jam, for Channel 4 and Nathan Barley (starring Julian Barratt and Nicholas Burns), which he co-wrote with TVGoHome’s Charlie Brooker. More recently Chris has been acting in Channel 4’s The IT Crowd, written by Big Train and Father Ted creator Graham Lineham. His collaborators include Peter Baynham, Charlie Brooker, Armando Iannucci, Peter Cook, Julia Davis, Kevin Eldon, Patrick Marber, Steve Coogan, Noel Fielding and many others.
