Kill List and Tyrannosaur in official selection at Toronto Film Festival 2011

 

Warp X features Kill List and Tyrannosaur are screening as part of Toronto International Film Festival 2011.

The Toronto International Film Festival takes place from September 8th – 18th.

Kill List is a dark and twisted horror film from award-winning director Ben Wheatley. Eight months after a disastrous job in Kiev left him physically and mentally scarred, ex-soldier turned contract killer Jay, is pressured by his partner Gal, into taking a new assignment. As they descend into the dark, disturbing world of the contract, Jay begins to unravel once again - his fear and paranoia sending him deep into the heart of darkness.

It will screen as part of the Midnight Madness strand.

Screening Information 

 

Tyrannosaur is Paddy Considines debut feature, it is an exploration of how love and friendship can be found in the darkest of places. Tyrannosaur is the story of Joseph (Peter Mullan) a man plagued by violence and a rage that is driving him to self-destruction.  As Joseph's life spirals into turmoil a chance of redemption appears in the form of Hannah (Olivia Colman), a Christian charity shop worker. Their relationship develops to reveal that Hannah is hiding a secret of her own with devastating results on both of their lives. 

It will screen as part of the Special Presentations strand.
