On friday 8th May Warp Films present the French premiere of the 'All Tomorrow's Parties' movie at Cite de La Musique in Paris. Featuring performances from Battles, Grizzly Bear, Portishead, Sonic Youth, Mogwai, Boredoms and more, this DIY film is a bricolage made from Super8, camcorder and mobile phone footage contributed by over two hundred filmmakers, fans and musicians over the festival¹s recent history, with key contributions from co-director Jonathan Caouette (Tarnation) and Vincent Moon (The Take Away Shows, Arcade Fire).


The onsite Cinema at Warp20 (Paris) will also host a complete programme of Warp Films, including Shane Meadow's masterpieces This is England and Dead Man's Shoes; BAFTA winning shorts by Chris Morris and Paddy Considine, plus Warp Vision: Warp Videos and Warp films Promo productions from the last 20 years and video installation pieces by Mira Calix.

 

Friday's main music events are headlined by Chris Cunningham playing a full live show that combines original and remixed music and film, dynamically edited and spread over 3 screens. Seven-piece US punk-funk heroes !!! (chkchkchk), Pivot and reformed Warp legends Seefeel also all play live, with Andrew Weatherall, Nightmares on Wax and previous Warp/films collaborator Jarvis Cocker DJing in the club area.

 

The second night of Warp20 (Paris) on Saturday 9th features Aphex Twin & Hecker, Plaid, Clark, Flying Lotus, Leila, Hudson Mohawke, Rustie and Luke Vibert, with visual installations by Dalbin Event on both nights.

All Tomorrow’s Parties will have a UK multi- platform release this summer (dates tbc) with one night only theatrical events, a DVD release and digital download available through Warp Films. Warp X is an initiative of UK Film Council, Film4, Screen Yorkshire, EM Media and Optimum Releasing.
