Grizzly Bear

Coverage from show with The Brooklyn Philharmonic at B.A.M. New York

27/03/2009
Last weekend's sell out Grizzly Bear show at B.A.M. in New York was something really special - an early opportunity to hear Grizzly Bear's new music, performed alongside the Brooklyn Philharmonic in such a prestigious venue.

See below for photos and reviews. We're looking forward to more tours across the US and Europe already!

  • "The Brooklyn band is on the cusp of something big and nerve-shatteringly beautiful with their third proper full-length, Veckatimest. And by that, we mean something far more resonant than Animal Collective’s long-overdue breakthrough with this year’s Merriweather Post Pavilion LP." Self-Titled
  • "Grizzly Bear performs music we can all relate to—profoundly sad, and pristine, pop songs that dwell on the darker sides of the human condition, even as the tempos change and slivers of light peeks through the blinds." Self-Titled
  • "Grizzly Bear is a band capable of such extraordinary textures and hues, such dynamic shifts and emotional resonances, that they hardly need an orchestra behind them. The Philharmonic's contributions were sweet, but they were just icing on an already delectable cake." Entertainment Weekly
