Red Bull Music Academy on the 3D Soundclash

"We're all aware of music's power to transport us to another place. But with 3D Audioscape – developed by Martyn Ware’s company Future Of Sound alongside fellow synth pop legend Vince Clarke of Depeche Mode, Yazoo, and Erasure fame – you can literally control sound in all kinds of three-dimensional parameters...

"...Together with an equally mind-bending visual component courtesy of onedotzero and the very special atmosphere at the Royal Albert Hall’s loading bay (location subject to licence), 3D Audioscape provides the perfect setting for a clash encounter of the third kind. While Plaid will play a DJ set, atmospheric soundscape queen Mira Calix, fellow Warp signee Clark, Ninja Tune's King Cannibal, the mighty Kevin Martin, and other like-minded artists from the world of experimental electronica will literally throw their genre-shaping sounds at each other, exploiting all the possibilities of Ware’s man-machine monster installation."
