Brian Eno and Karl Hyde’s working relationship has been built upon the vibrancy and enthusiasm of writing music and recording together. So when it was suggested to the duo that they do interviews for their first album ‘Someday World’ they politely declined and instead suggested inviting journalists to Brian’s studio to view and even at times participate in the creative process. All of the material included on High Life was composed and recorded during these improvised sessions.
Such was the desire for immediacy to capture the spontaneity of these sessions that Eno and Hyde instructed their label Warp Records to release the resulting album using the shortest possible manufacturing and international distribution deadlines. So now, following the CD and Digital releases at the start of July to significant critical and audience acclaim, the vinyl has been pressed and is ready to go on 25th August.
