New Album 'Sheath' and Stencil Competition

New Album 'Sheath' and Stencil Competition

"Sheath", the long awaited new album from LFO is released on Monday 22nd September 2003. All design is by the Designers Republic. Plus "Freak" video and stencil competition.

'Sheath' is the first LFO record since 1996's "Advance", and reflects what Mark Bell has been up to in the intervening years.

Read the new and up to date LFO biography by renowned dance culture author Bill Brewster where Mark talks about his production work for Bjork and Depeche Mode here.

To mark the launch of Sheath, the Designers Republic have produced a set of 4 LFO stencils, exclusively available with orders from Warpmart. Laser cut from opaque pastic these will last a lifetime of spraying. They are limited to 1,000 sets worldwide and are available ONLY from Warpmart. The first 1,000 orders for the LFO album placed in Warpmart will recieve a set, alternatively they are available to buy separately. Picture of the stencil set HERE User guide by tDR HERE.

The stencils also form part of a competition set to run over the next 2 months - after you recieve your stencils (whether with the album or separately) please send in pictures of them used in any way or situation that you choose. The person judged by Mark Bell (LFO) to have used them in the "most interesting, funny and creative way.." will win: An exclusive and unreleased LFO track, packaged by Mark himself; A signed copy of the ltd edition CD, a fresh stencil set, plus all the avaialble LFO back catalogue.

Please send your pictures to and all submissions will be uploaded into a photo gallery viewer for all to see.

The LFO Single "Freak" was released on 25th August and is currently devastating dancefloors worldwide - a monster track of epic proportions that announces the return of LFO in fine style - like "We are Back" updated for a new millennium. The new video for "Freak" has also just been completed, directed by Daniel Levi.

The Danny Brown web piece from 2001 is available to view once more - a beautiful interactive shockwave toy that utilises new tracks by Mark Bell, of which one or two feature on the new Below.
