“a majestic pop tune with a good sense of mystery” - NPR
“a moonlit ambience and motorik propulsion that conjure up a night drive on some interstellar Autobahn” - SPIN
Someday World is an album born from a collection of 'beginnings', 'polyrhythmic musical textures' and 'experiments', some of which dating from the early 90s and re-contextualised and brought together in one month-long session in late 2013. In contrast to the krautrock drive and playful use of midi heard in ‘The Satellites’, ‘Daddy’s Car’ betrays the duo’s love of cyclical Afrobeat and Reich-inspired polyrhythms, maintaining the strong sense of melody and structure through Hyde’s lead vocal.
