Vasarely Festival: Line-up / Tickets

Warp return to the Vasarely Foundation in Aix en Provence along with a host of other artists and labels for the third edition of the Territoires Electroniques festival taking place on Fri 3rd to Sun 5th June 2005.

The first edition was in 2003 with Warp artists/films in the Foundation for two nights : Plaid, Squarepusher, Jamie Lidell, Mira Calix, Brothomstates, Req, TDR video installation, Chris Cunningham retrospective. In 2004 the program expanded to include artists from all over Europe and the USA, including Dabrye, James Cotton, Isolee, Rhythm & Sound, Leila, Luke Vibert, Pierre Bastien, Audioroom, Jimmy Edgar, Prefuse 73 and Jamie Lidell.

As well as live performances in the auditorium, there will be an outside stage for the first half of the evening, plus a dedicated audiovisual room filled with projections and sound. There is also a cinema, this year located within the cathedral-like galleries themselves, with monumental artworks running the full height of the room.

Tickets are available now via the FNAC network in France and in Warpmart for people travelling from UK/USA etc only. Anyone in France should use the FNAC link. Warpmart is selling three-day passes only, that are to be collected on the door (no tickets will be sent out) You will need the email confirmation from warpmart and the card used to make the booking.

Getting There From the UK::
EASYJET London Gatwick - Marseille
BA Also Gatwick/marseille - not that much more if youre lucky and book now.
EUROSTAR London to Aix or Marseille via Paris (or Lille Europe - often cheaper)

The festival takes place at:
La Fondation Vasarely, 1 Avenue Marcel Pagnol, Jas de Bouffan,
13100 Aix en Provence - this is located on the west side of town.
Aix is a small/medium sized town, so taxis to anywhere around town and surroundings are not expensive.

There is NO CAMPING or Sleeping in Cars on the Lawn of the Foundation! this will be enforced this year... Sorry, but the festival will be stopped otherwise.

The Youth Hostel is next door to the foundation.
