"Day of Light' was conceived to mark the release of my new album LUX. We asked people to send in photos with the theme 'Play of Light' - which was one of the titles I considered for the album - to be streamed throughout the day, accompanying the broadcast of the album. The idea was to make a collaborative, generative work...to see what happened if you just made a space for it to happen in."
The timing of the four plays were selected to capture different lighting - from sunrise, day, sunset and night. Submissions were encouraged under a theme 'play of light' and were curated by Eno and his team in real time. This film archives just 4 minutes of Eno's favourites from over 6,000 submissions - watch it below.
DAY OF LIGHT was created by Studio Remote & Thomas Traum in collaboration with Warp Records and Brian Eno.
Brian Eno and Warp Records would like to thank everyone who participated and helped make the project such a big success. The chosen photographers are credited in the description on YouTube.
