Featuring 13 years of footage filmed by Bibio himself, the video for 'À tout à l'heure' premiere's today ahead of the new album 'Silver Wilkinson'.

The video for 'À tout à l'heure' features Bibio in silhouette alongside various animals and instruments interlaced with 8mm film footage filmed by Bibio over 13 years and edited by the artist Russell Weekes.

Working from a studio in Birmingham, Bibio and Russell Weekes filmed all the silhouette footage with a DSLR against a white wall, shooting lots of variations with different instruments. Having made the necessary adjustments, Bibio passed the footage to Weekes to cut to music.

The next stage was to replace the background and silhouettes with the 8mm film footage; having converted them to a digital format they were incorporated using luma key and chroma key techniques. Looking for a warm, 60s psychedelic look, Bibio described the results "as a long-term ambition fulfilled, but not necessarily a closed book."

“Many years ago I was in Wolverhampton library looking for music to take out. I was in the cassette section and there was an album cover which stood out to me - it was the self-titled album by 'Free'. The cover is of a blue sky and a naked woman's silhouette striding over the camera. Her silhouette is transformed into a hole in the sky showing the stars, or perhaps a 'window' onto the heavens.…"
