Maximo Park have announced their third album's name and release date alongside a free download of a new track from the album. This news follows unprecedented ticket sales for their UK tour when it went on sale earlier this year.

'Quicken The Heart', the bands third album, will be released on 11th May 2009 and was recorded in L.A. with producer Nick Launay (Kate Bush, Talking Heads, PiL). After a few listens we can safely say it contains some of the bands strongest work to date and is a bold and concise listen from start to finish.

Radio 1's Zane Lowe had the first play of the track Wraithlike from the album on Monday past and liked it so much he rewound it and played it again! Get it for free yourself below.
