Like much of the LP, Platinum Rows was scored for a large ensemble. Recorded live with the Wordless Music Orchestra of New York, the album was entirely composed by Braxton himself.

The instruments used in the creation of this piece include Vox, Kazoos, Synths, Piano, Guitars, Basses, Electronics, Violins, Violas, Cellos, Double Bass', Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Flute, Piccolo, Trumpets, Horns, Xylophone, Glock. Harp, Drums/Percussion and some others.

Central Market was inspired by Igor Stravinsky, Bernard Hermann, Brian Eno, John Adams and Swans.

The album appears on CD, digital and strictly limited special-edition 180 gram audiophile double heavy-weight vinyl (which includes bonus track 'Ex Cathedra' and a free MP3 download of the album), to be released shortly after the CD and download date.
