In reworking “Wolf,” the first single off of Darkstar’s Civic Jams, the elusive John Talabot found a duality of light & dark, transforming the track with beats that playfully skip around and whirring like minute cogs in 1A & mirroring that with 1B, a post-punk abstraction with chant-like vocals encircling nocturnal fragments of the melody.
